The Origin of Tesla's™ Cobra™ Connectors

Tesla™ Industries was started in 1992 to provide high-quality power conversion equipment to the United States’ military, law enforcement, and aviation communities. Early on, it was determined that the power coming from Tesla™ units encountered restrictive impedance when it reached other name brand connectors. All of the standard “off the shelf” connectors, like the standard NATO slave plug, were outdated designs. Since no other connectors were
available that matched the quality of the Turbo Start™ power systems, Tesla™ developed a new line of high-power Tesla™ connectors.
